  • Water

  • Hot Sauce

  • Dish Washing Liquid

Simply mix together one large bottle of hot sauce (like Tabasco) with 1 gallon of water.  Add a few drops of dishwashing liquid to help the mixture stick to the plants or other surfaces on to which you spray the repellent.  Remember, the repellent will need be replaced after it rains and after you water any plants on which it has been applied.  Also, do  not forget to thoroughly wash any fruits or vegetables you harvest to remove all of the hot sauce mixture before you eat them.

You may also wish to boil a yellow onion in the water prior to creating your mixture.  Some people find that the smell of the cooked onion enhances the effectiveness of the repellent mixture.
